I love learning about new tools to make social media marketing more creative and effective, so I’ve decided to share some of my favourite tools with you at the start of each week. This week I’m recommending video text animator Hype Type.

Hype Type is an iOS app that lets you add moving text and typography over images. It’s a super useful tool for Instagram Stories.

Hype Type also provides easy-to-use editing tools for speeding up, slowing down, flipping, or reversing your videos.

Once you’re happy with how your image looks, export it for sharing on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or wherever else you want to showcase your motion typography-enhanced photo or video.

8 Creative Ways to Use Instagram’s Multiple-Image Posting Feature In Your Healthcare Marketing

Is Instagram part of your healthcare marketing strategy? Instagram – the image-sharing site owned by Facebook –  now reaches 800 million monthly active users and currently boasts 500 million daily active users.

Visual marketing was hotter than ever in 2017 and will only continue to grow in importance over the next few years. People connect more emotionally with images than text, and in an increasingly crowded digital landscape images can break through the online content clutter.

Visual content can be an incredibly powerful marketing tool – one that increases message association, brand awareness, and encourages engagement and shares.  Healthcare marketing has been slow to adopt Instagram, but if you are looking to increase digital engagement in 2018, it’s time to add the platform to your online marketing mix.

A new infographic by Salesforce shares some creative ideas to make the most of Instagram’s multiple-image posting feature.  Called a “carousel”, this feature lets you post up to 10 photos in a slideshow or an album and offers a host of possibilities to increase user engagement.

Here’s how it works:

How To Use Instagram To Promote Your Medical Practice

I recently published an article on the key trends to watch in social media and their relevance to healthcare marketing in 2015. The continuing growth of visual platforms, such as Pinterest and Instagram, confirm that incorporating visual content into your social media strategy is a must (Instagram post engagement is up 416% over the last two years).

With 300 million active users, Instagram is worth integrating into your healthcare social marketing strategy. Use it to share photos of your conferences and events, host photo contests (for example ask people to post their pictures of healthy eating).  Check out http://instagram.com/AdvocateHealth for an example of a healthcare brand on Instagram.
